Welcome to Jessica Bouquet's realm of compassionate support and transformative therapy, where over 20 years of experience in youth work and social work converge to create a space dedicated to the well-being of children, young people, families, individuals, and couples.
In the early stages of her journey, Jessica dedicated her expertise to working with newly arrived families in Australia, providing vital support during their transition. This foundational experience set the tone for her commitment to positive change, leading her to navigate the front lines of child protection and embracing the complexities of both city and Pilbara environments over the subsequent years.
The following decade saw Jessica's focus evolve into therapeutic and counselling roles, exploring areas such as domestic violence support, crisis counselling, school counselling and clinical mental health settings. Specializing in private practice, she offers a diverse range of support beyond reportable child and family therapy.
From supporting children aged 4-18, Jessica addresses a variety of needs, with a primary focus on family dynamics. Her approach is rooted in strengths-based, solution-focused, and trauma-informed methods. Taking referrals from legal teams for reportable child and family therapy, she extends her expertise to couples and individuals, fostering strengths-based communication, effective stress management, solution focussed strategies and trauma resolution.
In her continuous commitment to growth, Jessica will be undertaking EMDR training in April of this year, working towards expanding access to transformative therapeutic services through completing her Medicare rebate application.
When Jessica isn’t in clinic on a Friday at Wellmind Psychology in South Perth, you will find her at the beach with her two young children and partner. Although Jesssica comes from a background of elite boxing, which embraces the qualities of resilience and determination Jessica naturally comes with an empathic and non-judgment demeanour. Jessica’s passion for supporting wellbeing and mental health encourages her to continue learning and developing in the area of clinical private practice. Jessica is always open to welcoming new clients and supporting them on their journey.
